I am writing this to share my experiences about Delhi Twestival 2010.
25 March 2010.

After a fortnight of discussions with Mohak ( and our co-team members) regarding possible sponsors, venue ,figuring out contacts , tweetup meets and "reflecting the whole idea of twestival to people" we finally came up with #DelTwestival @CafeMorrison . To celebrate Twestival I reached a little early straight from my college with my friend Tanuj Jain(Special Thanks..!!!) to dedicate evening for this Special Cause. We helped venue staff to aware them of our exact needs. We stuck banners(below the rock band) and outside. It was fun..the environment was picking up.
We sat up an RSVP desk outside and as the clock ticked 5 pm sponsors and Five8 band members were rolling in. I coordinated to give them the best space available fixing up small issues like their brand visibility to make them feel comfortable. At 6pm we had people rolling in and amazed at the twitter wall we had set up. Intel Netbooks were available for live tweeting and HP wireless bluetooth printer was set to print out pics as swag. I could see the spark of change in eyes of visitors when they walked in the room and saw the *tech-thing* happening.
"Tweet, Meet Give" were the three magical words I used with fervour to welcome people as I introduced myself as Delhi Twestival Organiser.Nothing equals to greet new people from varied threads united for the cause.
The discussion with Twitter handlers on education and objectives on concern was aptly scheduled after Mohak's Introductory Talk.
The message was now in air and soon Five8 Band started rolling as the crowd stepped out of Rajneesh's World, an amazing standup comedy. Press & Media were doing its chores as people foot-tap on loud music.
The day was ours , the message was clear and the medium to spread the message was just perfect. At the end of day I realise this unique blend of creative innovation has deeply fostered the spirit of social responsibility in my young blood providing me the right platform and people to spread the word.
